Syfy Cancels Dominion

By Allison Moore

Washington, D.C. (October 14, 2015) -- Syfy has cancelled the action sci-fi series, Dominion, after two seasons, reports Deadline.com.

The show, which was based on the 2010 movie, Legion, starred Christopher Egan as a futuristic soldier who goes to battle against a supernatural force of angels led by the archangel Gabriel.

Deadline.com reports that the show's season two dropped nearly 50 percent in the ratings compared to the first season, thereby triggering the cancellation.

Dominion, whose season two finale (and now series finale) aired October 1, ran 21 episodes during the two seasons.

The show also fared poorly with critics, generating just a 38 score at RottenTomatoes.com, the web site that tracks critical reviews of movies and TV shows.
